Description:
- The Software Engineer will be responsible for extending the functionality of the main spreadsheet web UI by implementing features for flexible data manipulation and editing.
- They will own data architecture decisions and optimize performance for the web-based spreadsheet, supporting thousands of columns and millions of rows.
- Collaborate closely with the design team to establish best practices for the component library and front-end data access patterns.
- Take ownership of a core product area, such as the Rust data service for spreadsheet validations or the SDK suite enabling compatibility across React, Angular, and Vue.
- Work directly with the CTO to understand customer needs and drive product decisions for an enhanced user experience.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience building web products, proficient in AWS, React, Rust, Ruby, and PostgreSQL.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and thriving in a fast-paced environment where wearing multiple hats is the norm.
- Self-driven, fast learner capable of owning end-to-end projects.
- Expertise with Redux, React-query, and Webpack is a plus.
- Proficiency in Rust or another low-level language like C++ is advantageous.
- Experience with Terraform and Docker is desirable.
