Remote Software Engineer- eCommerce (PHP/React)

Description:

• MINT MOBILE is seeking a talented Software Engineer II to join the Engineering Team, reporting to the Lead Software Engineer.
• This is a remote position, and candidates must reside in the United States.
• The Software Engineer II will build customer-facing tools and experiences to simplify complicated decisions for visitors.
• The role involves contributing to the software design and delivery of both current and future products, primarily focusing on front-end development with opportunities for full-stack work.
• Daily responsibilities include implementing changes on public eCommerce platforms, collaborating with the team to plan, build, test, and deploy new features, and improving eCommerce software for customers and engineers.
• The engineer will identify improvements and execute plans leading to the deployment of ideas within weeks, innovate with web technologies, and work on automated testing platforms.
• Technologies used in this role include JavaScript, PHP, NextJS, React, MySQL, GraphQL, Redis, Microservices (NodeJS), HTML, CSS, SASS, WordPress, WooCommerce, Docker, and AWS.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is required.
• Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in software engineering.
• Strong skills in PHP, JavaScript, and React are essential.
• Working experience with WordPress and WooCommerce is required.
• The candidate must be self-motivated and a self-starter with an eye towards innovation.
• A willingness to try new ideas and execute them is necessary.
• The candidate should be a team player, ready to engage in technical discussions with the team.
• A passion for enhancing the end-user experience is important.
• Clear and open communication skills are required.
• Flexibility to work across multiple development environments is necessary.
