Description:
The Software Engineer will apply engineering principles to design, develop, test, and maintain software systems.
They will participate in code reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and implement software requirements.
The role involves contributing to requirements analysis, conceptual design, detailed design, and implementation.
The engineer will support integration testing of software programs and assist in generating interface control documents.
They will participate in specific phases of project implementation, handle multiple tasks concurrently, and evaluate problems as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 2 years of software engineering experience.
Must be a team player with a willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies quickly.
Experience working and negotiating with stakeholders.
Proficiency in Java development, with familiarity in Python and Ruby on Rails.
Experience in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment, preferably in large-scale cloud applications.
Experience developing RESTful API endpoints with object-oriented programming languages.
Familiarity with healthcare data and integration, including HL7, FHIR, JSON, and XML.
Understanding of healthcare terminology sets and standards for interoperability.
Familiarity with the development and implementation of concept maps, especially with respect to FHIR resources.
Experience with addressing challenges in data cleaning and identifying ways to improve conformance and quality, especially with large volumes of clinical data.
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
Must reside in the Continental US.
Ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
Benefits:
Competitive salary range of $65,000 - $185,000 a year.
