Sendle is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Product Engineering team, which values collaboration, problem-solving, trust, growth, and learning.
The tech stack includes Ruby, Elixir, React, Postgres, Redis, and Kafka, with a focus on maintaining a simple architecture.
Engineers work in cross-functional teams alongside designers, customer support, marketing, and logistics experts.
Responsibilities include integrating with eCommerce platforms, improving customer parcel management, and innovating courier network connections.
The company is a B Corp and Australia’s first 100% carbon-neutral delivery service, aiming to support small businesses with reliable and affordable parcel delivery.
The engineering team is fully remote, emphasizing results over time spent at the keyboard.

Requirements:

Candidates should be excited about building an environmentally sustainable courier business and solving customer problems.
A strong preference for teamwork and supporting team members is essential.
Experience with production applications is required.
Good written and spoken communication skills are necessary.
A willingness to learn and contribute to knowledge sharing is expected.
Familiarity with SQL and PostgreSQL is a plus, as is frontend experience with React, TypeScript, or another modern JavaScript framework.
Experience with Ruby or Elixir is beneficial but not mandatory.
