Description:
Build a large-scale data processing platform capable of handling 100 million events per second scale sub-second low latency data processing.
Develop a high available large-scale deployment and control plane to ensure applications experience no downtime 24X7.
Construct a stream processing infra stack on Kubernetes managing clusters with thousands of EC2 instances.
Contribute to Pinterest's internal unified stream processing platform for real-time data processing applications.
Create and deploy applications requiring real-time data processing.
Develop a service to monitor job health and take action in case of exceptions, like automatically restarting a failed job due to network errors or cluster availability issues.
Make contributions to the platform for self-servicing to enhance developer velocity and productivity.
Collaborate with developers in writing and onboarding applications.
Telecommuting is permitted.
Requirements:
Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or closely related quantitative discipline and two (2) years of experience in a related field.
Special skills in large-scale distributed systems, Java, Big Data, high availability large-scale services, Docker, data-intensive low latency analytics, NoSQL databases, Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment Systems, and ELK.
Benefits:
Salary range: $183,817.92 - $234,665.00 per annum.
Position eligible for equity.
