Description:

The Software Engineer will work with fellow engineers to design, review, and build well-crafted software.
The role involves collaborating with government partners and contractors to architect, implement, and deploy new systems and improvements to existing systems.
The Software Engineer will create efficient tools and processes to automate development, testing, and production workflows.
Responsibilities include writing and implementing code, performing local testing, writing technical specifications, and reviewing pull requests.
The engineer will participate in standup meetings, biweekly retrospectives, and sprint demo meetings.
The position requires interfacing with clients to provide project updates and propose solutions.

Requirements:
Candidates must have 6+ years of experience developing software in a team environment, preferably with distributed systems.
Strong experience in the healthcare industry and a deep understanding of FHIR is required.
Experience utilizing Smart on FHIR standards to build healthcare applications is necessary.
Candidates should have current or prior experience developing API endpoints with Java and/or Kotlin.
The position is open to Backend engineers or Full-Stack leaning Backend engineers.
A solid understanding of web and mobile user interface design best practices is essential.
Candidates must demonstrate tenacity in problem-solving and iteration in working code.
The ideal candidate will be a systems thinker and advocate for users, highly resourceful, reliable, and detail-oriented.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
