Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing apps and extensions that integrate Awin’s tracking technology with popular e-commerce platforms like Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, and others.
Your work will empower our clients to autonomously implement and utilize our services, streamlining their affiliate marketing efforts without the need for direct integration support.
Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining robust apps and extensions for e-commerce platforms, ensuring seamless integration with Awin’s tracking technology.
You will gain a deep understanding of the e-commerce platforms you’re developing for, including their APIs, architecture, and best practices for building apps and extensions.
Focus on creating user-friendly, intuitive solutions that allow customers to easily install and configure Awin’s tracking features on their own.
Collaborate closely with Awin’s product, engineering, and UX/UI teams to align on functionality, design, and user experience.
Implement thorough testing processes to ensure apps/extensions are reliable, efficient, and perform well across different e-commerce environments.
Continuously optimize the performance and functionality of these solutions.
Develop comprehensive internal technical documentation to support ongoing development and maintenance of the apps/extensions.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in e-commerce platforms and tracking technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge and competitive.
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in developing apps, plugins, or extensions for e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, or similar is required.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript is required, with PHP experience being nice to have.
Experience with AWS infrastructure creation is a plus.
Solid understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with RESTful APIs is necessary.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and development tools specific to e-commerce platforms is essential.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently tackle technical challenges are required.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to document and explain your work effectively to technical stakeholders are necessary.
A strong focus on creating solutions that are user-friendly and easy to implement by customers without the need for direct support is essential.
Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team is required.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is necessary.
