Description:
The position is for a Software Engineer focused on creating training data for advanced AI models, specifically for native or highly fluent Belgian Dutch speakers.
This is a fully remote role, with accepted locations including Brussels, Bruges, Antwerp, Ghent, Charleroi, Liège, and Namur.
The role involves evaluating the quality of AI-generated code and providing human-readable summaries of the rationale behind evaluations.
Responsibilities include solving coding problems, writing functional and efficient code, and creating robust test cases to ensure code efficiency and effectiveness.
The work will involve a variety of projects, such as comparing pieces of Python code and developing full mobile applications using chatbots.
The pay rate for this position is $22.98 per hour for Belgium, with flexible working hours and the potential to work 15+ hours per week, with no upper limit on hours.
The contract is long-term with no specified end date, and candidates can terminate the contract at any time, although a commitment of 12 months is preferred.
Developers can set their own hours, allowing for flexibility in their schedules.
The interview process includes an application, a code review, a group call for onboarding questions, and a simulated production-level task.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in a software engineering or software development role.
Complete fluency in English is required.
The ability to articulate complex scientific concepts clearly and engagingly is essential.
Excellent attention to detail and consistency in writing is necessary.
A solid understanding of grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines is required.
Proficiency in Python is mandatory.
A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science is a nice-to-have qualification.
Familiarity with additional programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, SQL, Swift, Ruby, Rust, Go, .NET, Matlab, PHP, HTML, DART, R, Apex, and Shell, C, C# is preferred.
Recognized accomplishments in the coding community or relevant projects are advantageous.
Proven analytical skills and creative problem-solving abilities are beneficial.
Strong communication skills, especially in understanding and discussing project requirements, are important.
A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with coding advancements is desirable.
Enthusiasm for teaching AI models and experience in technical writing are also valued.
