Remote Software Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE)

Description:

• The Software Engineer in Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) at Hyperscience is responsible for creating modular extensions for the HyperAutomation platform.
• They collaborate with client-facing and engineering teams to deliver requested functionality for on-premise and cloud-based solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.
• The role involves identifying commonly requested extensions to enhance the product's functionality and improve client experiences.
• The Software Engineer also acts as a Level 2 support professional, addressing technical issues and client-requested functionality.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with Customer Experience, Sales, and Engineering, developing technical components, documenting components, maintaining product quality, and supporting customers and partners.

Requirements:

• Two or more years of software engineering experience.
• Functional knowledge of Python, Java, or other contemporary programming languages.
• Ability to learn and implement new technologies and patterns, translating client requirements into software.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute with clean and efficient code and interest in mentorship.
• Basic familiarity with Linux distributions and cloud-native technologies.
• Interest in customizing solutions and engaging in technical problem-solving.
• Openness to support Level 2 technical/customer support tasks.
