Description:

  • The Software Engineer position is for the Framework team, which is dedicated to growth and maintaining a unified platform approach.
  • The team develops foundational solutions for business needs, including claims operations and vendor integrations.
  • Responsibilities include expanding platform offerings, improving tech stack and processes, enhancing configurability, collaborating with other teams, contributing to technical design, and participating in an agile environment.
  • The role involves proactively evaluating system performance and suggesting improvements.

Requirements:

  • A BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field is preferred.
  • Candidates should have at least 6 months of full-stack web development experience, including internships and co-op programs.
  • Prior experience with Ruby on Rails and React is a plus.
  • A solid understanding of system design, data structures, algorithms, scalability challenges, and server-side performance is required.
  • Knowledge of design patterns for frontend applications is necessary.
  • Experience in designing and building APIs, creating schemas and performant queries for relational databases, and developing applications using React and Redux or similar frameworks is essential.
  • Familiarity with web technologies and modern web development practices is expected.
