Remote Software Engineer, Front End

Description:

• The Software Engineer, Front End position is located in Toronto, Ontario and is a full-time remote role.

• As a Software Engineer, you will work in a cross-functional team alongside Product, Design, and other developers to solve business challenges.
• You will enhance the scalability of React and ReactNative applications and establish coding standards for better code contributions.
• The role involves exposure to various technologies and the investigation of new ones to keep the technology choices up to date.
• Engineers at Wave are expected to maintain and elevate performance, reliability, reusability, code quality, test coverage, and observability.
• The position requires writing clear, concise, and well-tested code in Python, Ruby, and/or JavaScript.
• You will be part of an agile product team focused on continual improvement and learning new technical skills.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 4+ years of professional experience with a combination of Python, React, JavaScript, or other programming languages.
• An interest in working on technical projects from inception to delivery is essential.
• Candidates should be able to operate and monitor highly available systems in production or be willing to learn quickly.
• A strong emphasis is placed on writing testable, modular, maintainable, simple, and well-documented code.
• Experience in web application and/or distributed systems development is required.
• Comfort in using the terminal is necessary.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential for this role.
