Description:

Camunda is seeking a Software Engineer, Full Stack to join their Core Features team in a fully remote capacity.
The role involves the development, maintenance, and operation of Camunda Platform 8, including Zeebe, Operate, Tasklist, and Optimize.
Responsibilities include contributing to the improvement of user experience in building C8 Processes, owning the Java Backend and React Frontend of C8 Applications, and driving the design and implementation of new features.
Collaboration with Product Management and other Engineers is essential during the scoping, implementation, and review of changes.
The engineer will also contribute to enhancing the developer experience by automating deployment and monitoring processes, and will discuss and propose architecture changes to improve the solution's fundamentals.
The position emphasizes a proactive approach to managing responsibilities while ensuring collaboration with teammates.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 4+ years of experience as a Fullstack Engineer using Java (Spring Boot, JUnit, and Rest APIs) and React in a professional software application development environment.
A strong motivation to understand, develop, and own both the Backend and Frontend of Camunda applications is required.
Applicants should possess a “Manager-of-one” mindset, promoting proactive management of individual responsibilities while collaborating with Product Management, SRE, and fellow Engineers.
The ability to work effectively in a remote environment, utilizing written communication for status updates and delivering work results in small iterations is essential.
Candidates should thrive in taking ownership of the codebase and be comfortable with the “you build it, you run it” mindset.
Nice-to-haves include knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, SRE practices, BPM, and experience with Preact, Playwright, and maintaining npm libraries.
