Description:

OpenAI is seeking a Software Engineer, Full Stack for the People Innovation team, which focuses on building software products to enhance HR, culture, and recruiting.
The role is remote and full-time, based in the US, specifically in San Francisco.
The engineer will be responsible for the full product development lifecycle for new people products, from conception to deployment.
The position involves engaging with internal stakeholders to identify their challenges and designing effective solutions.
The engineer will collaborate with a cross-functional team, including HR business partners, recruiters, researchers, product managers, designers, and operations personnel.
The role also includes innovating on the application of Large Language Models (LLMs) in HR and recruiting domains.

Requirements:

Candidates should have 4+ years of professional engineering experience in relevant roles at tech and product-driven companies, excluding internships.
Experience as a former founder or early engineer at a startup who has built a product from scratch is considered a plus.
A strong interest in building company culture and recruiting top talent is essential.
Proficiency in JavaScript, React, and other web technologies is required.
Candidates must have proficiency in a backend language, specifically Python.
Some experience with relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL is necessary.
An interest in AI/ML is preferred, although direct experience is not required.
The ability to work quickly in an environment with loosely defined tasks and competing priorities or deadlines is crucial.
