Description:

  • The Software Engineer will join the Creator Content squad at LTK to build backend services and web apps that power the content posted by LTK Creators.
  • The role will focus on backend development, improving and creating new features in distributed systems that enhance the shopping experiences for millions of shoppers.
  • The candidate will collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting production issues, and continuously improving system performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • The position requires working in a fast-paced and agile development environment, driving improvements to software and development processes, and collaborating with distributed teams across different time zones.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of software development experience.
  • History of designing and building scalable distributed systems in a cloud environment.
  • Experience writing services in Golang, Python, Java, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with relational databases like MySQL and AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, and RDS.
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes, CI/CD tools, and infrastructure as code.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, databases, and web protocols.
  • Experience building scalable APIs, shipping code multiple times per day, and modeling complex systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
