Description:

This role can be performed remotely anywhere within the United States.
As a Software Engineer on the Data Management team, you will help build capabilities that power Fullstory’s next generation of AI-enhanced products.
You will collaborate with your team to design and build new data management capabilities and features that understand and automatically label critical components of digital experiences.
You will write code that makes instrumentation irrelevant, building services that automatically identify, label, and provide semantic meaning to raw user interaction data.
You will design and build features that allow customers to analyze all of their behavioral data without manual setup.
You will partner with product and design teams to create frictionless experiences that intelligently suggest data definitions.
You will collaborate with engineering peers through design discussions, pair programming, and code reviews to maintain high technical quality.
You will own the operational health of the features you build, monitoring services and resolving issues to ensure automated labeling is fast, accurate, and reliable for customers.

Requirements:

You must have a passion for solving complex data problems and be excited about turning raw, unstructured behavioral data into meaningful information.
You should have experience building robust, scalable APIs and a history of designing, building, and maintaining high-performance services, ideally with technologies like gRPC and Protocol Buffers.
Proficiency in a strongly-typed language is required, with comfort in building backend systems in languages like Go, Java, Typescript, or Rust.
A strong sense of product and user empathy is necessary, along with some experience with front-end technologies like React.
You should have a track record of effective collaboration, autonomy, and ownership, with clear communication and documentation skills.
