Remote Software Engineer, Fusion

Description:

• Lucidworks is leading digital transformation for major retailers, financial services firms, manufacturers, and B2B commerce organizations.
• The Fusion Engineering team develops core functionality for Lucidworks’ search and personalization platform.
• Responsibilities include writing and maintaining code for core Fusion features, ensuring robust unit and integration tests, participating in design and code reviews, and collaborating on quality assurance strategies.
• The role involves assisting colleagues with client technical questions and providing debugging support.
• This position is remote and open to candidates in Mexico or Jamaica.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience developing Java-based microservice applications in an enterprise software organization using SpringBoot.
• Experience with issue tracking systems (preferably Jira) and source control (Git and GitHub) is required.
• Candidates should be enthusiastic about growing as a software engineer and developing new skills in software development and technical communication.
• A passion for creating delightful customer and stakeholder experiences is essential.
• Excellent technical communication skills and a drive to share knowledge with colleagues are necessary.
• Candidates must be eager to work collaboratively with a diverse team across multiple time zones and cultures.
• Experience in developing cloud-native applications deployed with Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and Helm is required.
• Familiarity with cloud tools from GCS and/or AWS is necessary.
• Experience implementing a search application, particularly one based on Solr, is preferred.
• Knowledge of integrating observability, tracing, and/or auditing tooling into a distributed application is a plus.
