Remote Software Engineer I

Description:

• The Software Engineer I will join one of Marqeta's Core Platform Engineering teams responsible for developing and managing the Marqeta platform used by customers to launch and manage payment card programs.
• The role involves working with card networks and issuing banks to issue cards, authorize transactions, and communicate with settlement entities.
• Multiple teams within Core Platform are hiring, including Ledger, Core Objects, Transaction Foundation, Identity Platform, and Core Edge Processing.
• The Software Engineer I will deliver high-quality production-ready code with guidance from the team, execute defined tasks, and contribute to problem-solving.
• Responsibilities include working on bug fixing, implementation, and focusing on improving engineering skills to deliver individual tasks effectively.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of programming and ability to write code.
• Receptivity to feedback, commitment to producing high-quality work, and ability to complete tasks on time in collaboration with others.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, take ownership, ask questions, and communicate clearly and respectfully.
