Remote Software Engineer I, Thinking Machines

Description:

• Replicant is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and enhance customer-facing Thinking Machines™.
• The role involves solving unique challenges, developing Thinking Machines™ in Typescript, and utilizing in-house visualization tools.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with various teams, writing API specifications, providing technical mentorship, and participating in on-call rotations.
• The position requires contributing to process improvement, performing code reviews, and analyzing technical designs.
• The Software Engineer will work in a fully remote, cross-functional Scrum team and participate in daily and weekly Scrum rituals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field with strong CS fundamentals.
• 3+ years of experience in Typescript or Javascript.
• Proficiency in code versioning systems like GitHub or GitLab.
• Experience with cloud hosting providers such as AWS and GCP.
• Prior experience working on a production SaaS application, preferably with a focus on clean, modular code.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills and customer empathy.
• Ability to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks as required.
• Experience with REST APIs, Authentication (OAuth 2.0 and Basic), and enterprise tools like Salesforce and Zendesk.
• Familiarity with Jest as a Unit Testing framework is a plus.
