Remote Software Engineer II

Description:

• The Software Engineer II position at Vectra involves developing software to aid in the detection of network-based attacks.
• Responsibilities include interpreting product requirements, designing and implementing software, monitoring and improving systems for reliability, collaborating with other teams, and providing technical leadership.
• The role requires a growth mindset, 3+ years of professional C++ experience, 3+ years of developing software for Debian-based Linux, strong Python skills, knowledge of software design principles, troubleshooting abilities, and strong communication skills.
• Preferred qualifications include knowledge of networking principles, collaborative work experience, familiarity with automated testing tools like Jenkins, and proficiency in source code management tools like Git.
• The position requires a B.S, M.S, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
