Remote Software Engineer II

Description:

• Pinterest is seeking a Software Engineer II to build out the backend for Pinner-facing features that enhance user inspiration on the platform.
• The role involves contributing to and leading the product development process from ideation to implementation and release.
• Responsibilities include rapidly prototyping, running A/B tests, and architecting scalable solutions for millions of users.
• The engineer will partner with design, product, and backend teams to create end-to-end functionality.
• The position allows for telecommuting.

Requirements:

• A Master’s degree (or its foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a closely related quantitative discipline is required.
• Candidates must have two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any related field.
• Special skills required include: (1) RESTful API; (2) Caching; (3) Python; (4) Git; (5) Data processing; (6) Distributed systems; (7) Java; (8) SQL and relational databases; (9) Operating systems; and (10) Workflow systems.
• Any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience is acceptable.

Benefits:

• The salary range for this position is $190,000.00 - $234,665.00 per annum, along with standard company benefits.
