Remote Software Engineer II

Description:

• Honorlock is a leading online proctoring solution supporting over 300 institutions of all sizes.
• The Intermediate Software Engineer will be responsible for building core products and working with other engineers to architect and develop key components of the product suite.
• This position is part of an Agile Scrum team and will perform work in accordance with the Sprint schedule and cadence.
• Key responsibilities include building, optimizing, and maintaining a powerful web application, working on all levels of the web stack (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, PHP/Laravel backend, MySQL), crafting elegant solutions to technical challenges, collaborating with stakeholders, and focusing on continuous improvement of products and processes.

Requirements:

• Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to learn and take on new challenges that will push their abilities.
• A passion for product development and user experience is essential.
• Experience in writing APIs and documentation is required.
• Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in an open and team-oriented environment are necessary.
• Candidates should have experience with software feature testing and unit testing.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience is required.
• At least 1 year of recent, continuous experience with Laravel development is necessary.
