Description:

Pinterest is seeking a Software Engineer II to help build out the backend to power the future of inspiration on the platform.
The role involves contributing to and leading each step of the product development process, from ideation to implementation to release.
Responsibilities include rapidly prototyping, running A/B tests, and architecting and building scalable solutions for hundreds of millions of users.
The engineer will partner with design, product, and engineering teams to build end-to-end functionality and suggest new product ideas and features.
Automated testing will be employed to ensure high technical quality in the features developed, with the engineer taking responsibility for their components and features.
The position allows for telecommuting.

Requirements:

A Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a closely related quantitative discipline is required.
The candidate must have two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in a related field.
Special skills required include proficiency in Java, Python, Spring, Spark, Kafka, Thrift, Git, Maven, REST API, Caching and Data processing, Hive, and SQL.
Any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience is acceptable.
Telecommuting is permitted.

The salary for this position ranges from $185,000.00 to $244,872.00 per annum.
The position is eligible for equity.
