Remote Software Engineer II

Description:

• Pinterest is seeking a Software Engineer II to contribute to the observability product development process, from ideation to implementation to release.
• The role involves rapidly prototyping, writing unit tests, and pushing code into production.
• Responsibilities include building products and features that enable visually rich experiences and spearheading discovery problems to identify potential engineering challenges.
• The engineer will design and develop clean, efficient, and sustainable software using technologies such as Python, Java, Javascript, HTML, React, MySQL, Elastic Search, and Flink.
• The position requires analyzing and resolving complex problems and implementing creative algorithms.
• The engineer will interface across the engineering organization to develop new features from scratch and run experiments on new and existing features to improve the Pinner experience.
• Telecommuting is permitted.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a closely related quantitative discipline is required.
• Candidates must have one (1) year of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any occupation in a related field.
• Special skills required include proficiency in Python, Java, Microservices, API Development, AWS, React, Javascript, Database, Distributed systems, Time-series Database, Typescript, Flink, ElasticSearch, Logstash, Data Mining, Algorithms, and Unit/integration testing.
• Any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience is acceptable.
• Telecommuting is permitted.

Benefits:

• The salary range for this position is $185,142.00 - $244,872.00 per annum.
