Description:

G2 is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their growing team remotely in the US.
The role involves developing solutions with a strong emphasis on code design and quality.
Responsibilities include reporting to the Engineering Manager dedicated to the delivery team, building and maintaining a high-quality, stable, and well-tested web application, and applying database skills against a large and rapidly growing dataset.
The engineer will create and improve full features in short development cycles, including effective frontend and backend code.
Close coordination with designers, product managers, developers, and business stakeholders is required.
The role also involves tracking metrics and measurements alongside core features to help make informed business decisions.
The engineer will use patterns of code decomposition to break down tasks into deliverable solutions and ensure quality releases by writing tests covering unit, integration, and functional requirements.

Requirements:

A minimum of 2+ years of programming experience, ideally in a web environment, is required.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages, preferably Ruby and Javascript, is necessary.
Experience working in a high-performing, agile environment is essential.
Candidates should have strong opinions about how applications should be built, based on their experience getting things done.
Additional qualifications that can help an application stand out include Ruby on Rails experience, web application experience, a Computer Science Degree or completed Bootcamp, and experience with Git-based version control.
