Description:
G2 is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their growing team remotely in the US.
The role involves developing solutions with a strong emphasis on code design and quality.
Engineers will participate in quarterly weeks of creativity to address customer problems.
Responsibilities include reporting to the Engineering Manager, building and maintaining a high-quality web application, and applying database skills to a large dataset.
The engineer will create and improve features in short development cycles, coordinating closely with designers, product managers, developers, and business stakeholders.
Tracking metrics and measurements alongside core features is essential for informed business decisions.
The role requires breaking down tasks into deliverable solutions using code decomposition patterns.
Quality releases are ensured by writing tests that cover unit, integration, and functional requirements.
Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years of programming experience, ideally in a web environment, is required.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages, preferably Ruby and Javascript, is necessary.
Experience in a high-performing, agile environment is essential.
Candidates should have strong opinions on application development based on their experience.
Additional qualifications that can enhance the application include Ruby on Rails experience, web application experience, a Computer Science degree or completed bootcamp, and experience with Git-based version control.
