Description:

The Software Engineer II role is primarily devoted to designing, developing, and documenting software changes in Nextech products.
Engineers work with existing Nextech products to evaluate and diagnose any improvements desired or issues within these products, as designated by the Product Management department.
This role reports to the Software Team Manager, who is responsible for assigning and coordinating most work among the members of the subteam in the Development department.
The Software Engineer II should be able to work independently on assigned projects and tasks while coordinating their progress with other members of the Nextech team.
Engineers at this level have demonstrated significant product knowledge in a few core areas of Nextech products, allowing for some degree of flexibility in project selection.

Essential skills include transforming requirements into functional software, communicating with all levels of the organization, writing functional specifications, estimating project deadlines, implementing software changes in various programming languages, testing and code reviewing, leading projects, architecting solutions, evaluating advanced issues, and coordinating with Technical Services for customer support.

Requirements:

A passion for excellence in software development is required.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field is necessary.
A minimum of 3+ years of industry experience is required.
At least 1+ year of experience using Microsoft SQL Server and writing advanced queries is necessary.
Knowledge of and comfort with Microsoft Visual Studio, C#, .NET, and MSDN is required.
Familiarity with Angular, AngularJS, or other JavaScript frameworks is necessary.
Strong technical and analytical qualities are essential.
The ability to work well within a team and possess strong communication skills is required.
Candidates should be creative, motivated, self-starters with a strong attention to detail.
