Description:

  • The Software Engineer II position is a remote-first role based in Northern Ireland, UK, at G-P, a leading SaaS-based Global Growth Platformâ„¢.
  • The role involves designing and developing cloud-enabled products, working on all parts of the code stack using modern frameworks and technologies.
  • Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders from the Product and User-Experience teams to understand their requirements and criteria.
  • The engineer will advocate for and promote modern agile methodologies and best practices within the team.
  • The position requires translating requirements into sprint stories and executing them effectively.
  • The engineer will build quick prototypes to refine concepts and then develop them into production-quality features.
  • Additionally, the role includes contributing to the evolution of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the technology stack.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience developing SaaS enterprise software in distributed teams.
  • Experience in developing and integrating full-stack web applications using modern frameworks is required, with knowledge in some or all of the following: Typescript, React, Node.js, APIs, and modern databases.
  • A strong understanding of modern cloud architectures and technologies is necessary, with experience in AWS being a plus.
  • Experience in a startup or high-growth environment is desirable.
