As a Software Engineer Backend II, you will design, develop, and maintain backend infrastructure.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions and influence technical decisions.
Key responsibilities include leading the design and development of scalable backend systems using NodeJS, architecting and implementing efficient APIs, and maintaining clean, well-documented code.
You will contribute to the architecture and design of backend systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and scalability.
Responsibilities also include evaluating new technologies, implementing security best practices, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting technical issues, and advocating for automated testing practices.
You will collaborate with frontend engineers and product managers to deliver integrated solutions and communicate technical concepts to team members.
Staying updated with industry trends and advocating for relevant technologies is also part of the role.

Requirements:

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is necessary.
A minimum of 4 years of experience as a backend engineer/developer is required.
Proven experience in Node.js development and designing scalable systems is essential.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern ES6/ES7 features is required.
Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs is necessary.
A strong understanding of database design and optimization, particularly with SQL databases, is required.
Solid understanding of software architecture and design principles is essential.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines is necessary.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards technical challenges are required.
Understanding of mobile application environments is necessary.
