Jobgether is seeking a Software Engineer II, Backend to work remotely from the United States for one of their clients.
The role involves working on a cutting-edge platform aimed at improving patient outcomes through AI-powered pathology.
Responsibilities include developing and enhancing backend features, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and solving technical challenges.
The position requires working with modern technologies such as Python, FastAPI, and AWS.
The engineer will contribute to the evolution of the software platform, impacting medical software systems to improve diagnostic accuracy and treatment efficacy, especially in cancer care.
Key accountabilities include developing backend features for users, collaborating with front-end engineers and product managers, contributing to technical discussions, writing efficient and reliable code, participating in code reviews, supporting medical software development with HL7 standards, and maintaining integrations using technologies like Kafka and RabbitMQ.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field is required.
Candidates must have 2+ years of full-life cycle development experience in Python.
Solid experience with Python-based frameworks, such as FastAPI or Django, is necessary.
A strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles is essential.
Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS, and containerization technologies like Docker is required.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools, such as GitLab CI, is a plus.
Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes is advantageous.
The ability to work independently in a distributed team environment is crucial.
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced, agile setting are required.
