Remote Software Engineer II, Backend / Strategic Partnership Team (m/f/d) - Paris

Description:

• As a Backend Engineer in the Strategic Partnerships team at TIER Mobility, you will be responsible for building and maintaining API integrations with key strategic partners such as government institutions, Google Maps, FreeNow, and other commercial partners.
• Your role will be crucial in driving revenue growth by enabling the company to expand its operations into new cities.
• You will work closely with partners to understand city needs and develop effective and reliable solutions that benefit the city and its residents.
• Collaborating with a team of Software Engineers, Engineering Manager, and Product Manager, you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle to develop Tier & Dott Typescript/Node.js backend applications.
• Your responsibilities will include ensuring the stability and scalability of services, deploying and monitoring applications in production, debugging and resolving issues, and identifying technical opportunities to advance the business.
• You are expected to promote best practices, contribute new ideas, and play a key role in shaping the future direction of the product and technology stack.

Requirements:

• Passion for technology and Software Engineering.
• Ability to identify and address user problems effectively and at scale.
• Strong critical thinking skills with an observability mindset and a data-driven approach.
• Proficiency in Typescript, with the ability to implement changes independently while meeting architecture guidelines and quality expectations.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing distributed backend applications at scale, including service architecture and serverless.
• Bonus points for interest or experience in frontend web development, familiarity with programming languages other than Typescript, experience with Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes, and exposure to rapid growth or large-scale environments.
