Remote Software Engineer II

Description:

• Pinterest is seeking a Software Engineer II to build full-stack internal tools that enhance user safety and support the future of inspiration on the platform.
• The role involves understanding moderation agent workflows and identifying opportunities for optimization and scaling of decisions.
• Responsibilities include supporting system stability by implementing testing, metrics, and alerting for key systems.
• The engineer will make data-driven decisions while adhering to relevant data privacy and access policies.
• Collaboration with design, product, and backend teams is essential to create end-to-end functionality for content review at scale.
• The position requires employing automated testing to ensure high technical quality in the features developed.
• Clear communication of complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders is expected.
• Telecommuting is permitted.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a closely related quantitative discipline is required.
• Candidates must have three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related field.
• Full-stack development experience is mandatory.
• Experience in building consumer or business-facing software products is required.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript is necessary.
• Knowledge of API, storage and caching, data processing, Python, PostgreSQL, React, Docker, and AWS is essential.
• Any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience is acceptable.

Benefits:

• The salary range for this position is $185,000.00 - $234,665.00 per annum.
