Description:

Alma is seeking a mission-driven Full Stack Engineer with experience working across the stack to join the Billing team.
The role involves building tools and services that help providers manage and grow their practice.
The engineer will build features that solve real problems for mental health providers.
The position requires a strong hand in defining Alma's features, services, and architecture.
The engineer will work primarily in the backend space (~60% of the role) while also tackling full stack work as needed (~40% of the role).
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing maintainable and scalable product features using modern web technologies such as Python, Django, MySQL, React, and Typescript.
The engineer will develop both member-facing and internal-facing features around onboarding, scheduling, billing, and client management.
Collaboration with Alma managers, PMs, designers, and stakeholders is essential to conceptualize and build solutions for practical problems.
The engineer will ensure applications and services meet Alma's standards for performance, scalability, and security.
Close collaboration with other engineers and engineering managers is required to contribute to a technical roadmap and mentor team members.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3-5 years of experience as an engineer with a proven history of working across the stack and building products at scale.
Extensive experience with web technologies is required, with familiarity in one or more common web frameworks.
An understanding of accessibility and security compliance is necessary.
Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests is required.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, is essential.
Candidates should enjoy customer-centered software development and collaborating closely with a team of engineers, designers, and product managers.
A desire to experiment and use research and data to make data-driven decisions is important.
