Remote Software Engineer II - C# (Remote)

Description:

• The Software Engineer II will report to the Sr Engineering Manager, Chapter Lead and will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of McDonald’s Digital Technology software.
• The role involves working in a software development squad for restaurant products to support the design and development of new functionality and items related to technical debt.
• Responsibilities include ensuring product requirements, features, and backlog items are reviewed and understood as part of Sprint planning.
• The engineer will actively participate in assigning story points (effort estimations) to the software development work.
• The position requires verifying software through unit tests, integration tests, code reviews, and frequent customer demonstrations.
• The engineer will provide feedback on what went well and what could be improved during retrospective reviews.
• Frequent progress updates to the direct manager and other stakeholders are also part of the role.
• The salary range for this position is $96,230-$135,925 per year.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience with programming experience in C#.
• A minimum of 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems is required.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or GCP is necessary.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent years of experience, is required.
• Strong knowledge of software development tools such as GIT, GitHub, JIRA, and Visual Studio is essential.
• Candidates should possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be hard-working, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
• A highly quantitative mindset with great judgment and a passion for building a great customer experience is important.
• The ability to take a project from scoping requirements to launch to delivery is required.
