Description:
PDI Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their Bangalore team, focusing on product development in a full-time remote capacity.
The role involves designing scalable fault-tolerant systems that operate efficiently and with high performance.
The engineer will work closely with other talented PDI engineers to deliver solutions that enhance customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities include designing, building, testing, and supporting PDI's enterprise software solutions.
The engineer will review, recommend, and implement system enhancements to improve product quality, performance, and maintainability.
Collaboration with various stakeholders, including engineers, architects, product owners, SREs, and IT Ops, is essential to keep everyone informed and supported.
The position requires comfort in both Windows and Linux environments, including PowerShell scripting, bash, database administration, and public cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining custom software, participating in design decisions, performing testing, troubleshooting software issues, and guiding junior engineers.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 4-7 years of experience in designing and developing new or maintaining existing software applications in a software product development environment.
Proficiency in one or more of the following is required: Delphi, SQL, JavaScript Frameworks (Knockout, Angular, etc.).
Experience with modern UI frameworks and concepts, as well as front-end or mobile development, is necessary.
Familiarity with Eclipse/VS IDE and the use of ADO is expected.
Practical experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms.
Candidates should be highly motivated self-starters who can work independently as part of a focused team.
A solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including OOP, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms, is necessary.
