Remote Software Engineer II

Description:

• The Software Engineer II position at LivePerson involves designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.
• Responsibilities include designing REST-based backend services, debugging production issues, and maintaining existing code.
• The role also entails developing technical specifications and documentation, participating in on-call rotations, and collaborating with the Bots & Automation team to build the next-generation bot runtime platform.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required for this position.
• Candidates should have at least 4 years of experience building successful production software systems.
• Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithm Design is necessary.
• Proficiency in Java with good knowledge of multi-threading is essential.
• Expert-level knowledge of Databases like Cassandra, MySQL, and experience with Data Processing tools such as Kafka, Airflow, Apache Spark, Hadoop are required.
• Experience building REST APIs, debugging distributed microservice-based applications, and integrating with third-party APIs is a must.
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and other Development tools, as well as experience in Kubernetes, is expected.
• Knowledge of NodeJS & Python is a plus.

Benefits:

• The salary range for this role is between $100,000 to $125,000, with final compensation determined by various factors.
