Description:
The Core Messaging team at Braze focuses on enhancing the performance and reliability of the company's most frequently used messaging channels.
Engineers are responsible for high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems and work closely with internal and external teams.
The role involves maintaining Braze's industry leadership in cost-effective scaling, competitive go-to-market timelines, and overall system uptime.
As a Software Engineer II, you will develop and maintain critical components of Braze's high-scale infrastructure.
You will take ownership of impactful features and drive them from concept to production.

Requirements:
You must have 3-5 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer with a strong track record of success.
Experience in a collaborative team environment is essential, along with excellent communication skills with peers, teammates, stakeholders, and managers.
You should be able to work through project unknowns and ambiguity, leading efforts to bring clarity without sacrificing code quality.
A strong interest in owning large areas of technology architecture by understanding motivations, taking initiative, and proposing improvements is required.
Familiarity with scaling technical concepts such as database load, caching strategies, and performance optimizations is necessary.
You should have an interest in working with distributed architecture paradigms such as async processing, job queues, and eventual consistency.
