Remote Software Engineer II

Description:

• As a Software Engineer II at FiscalNote, you will be part of a high-velocity engineering team working on the full stack of the flagship web application.
• Your responsibilities will include creating front-end user experiences, enhancing existing backend functionality, and developing new internal APIs using modern technologies such as Python (FastAPI) and ES6 Javascript (React and Next.js).
• You will collaborate with experienced team members to deliver projects end-to-end and support the high-compute and volume data pipeline.
• Integrating data and functionality across multiple software solutions, pushing the limits of search capabilities, and ensuring cohesion across R&D functions will be key aspects of your role.
• You will also be responsible for building web application functionality, responding to client requests, and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to write code and solve problems through software.
• 2+ years of experience in the software development industry using modern tech stacks like Python/FastAPI, React/Next.js.
• Working knowledge of production and Cloud environments, including AWS, Linux/Unix, Bash, nginx.
• Familiarity with common storage implementations such as Mongo, Postgres, Elasticsearch, Redis.
• Technically curious, eager to learn, and interested in trying new technologies.
