Description:

6sense is seeking a Software Engineer II, Data to manage core data assets that are crucial for building the company's data moat.
The role involves creating, validating, and maintaining optimal big data pipelines that handle large-scale and complex data sets to meet both functional and non-functional business requirements.
The engineer will adapt and implement new technologies to enhance the data ecosystem, including complex data processing and optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources using SQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, and AWS services.
Responsibilities include identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements, automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and redesigning systems for greater scalability.
The engineer will also work on improving current data pipelines by enhancing performance, freshness, and ensuring data health, quality, and accuracy at scale.
Debugging issues that arise from data pipelines, particularly performance-related, and improving diagnostics and resolution timelines within defined SLAs is also part of the role.

Requirements:

Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in a Data Engineer role.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, and Athena is required.
Experience with programming languages such as Python or Scala is essential.
Familiarity with Big Data technologies, specifically Apache Spark, is necessary.
Candidates must have experience with Apache Airflow.
Proficiency in Linux is required.
Experience with data pipeline and ETL tools, particularly AWS Glue, is necessary.
Candidates should have experience working with AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Redshift, and other data solutions like Databricks and Snowflake.
