Remote Software Engineer II

Description:

• Pinterest is seeking a Software Engineer II to build out the backend for Pinner-facing features that enhance user inspiration on the platform.
• The role involves contributing to and leading the product development process from ideation to implementation and release.
• Responsibilities include rapidly prototyping, running A/B tests, and architecting scalable solutions for millions of users.
• The engineer will collaborate with design, product, and backend teams to create end-to-end functionality.
• The position encourages suggesting new product ideas and features while employing automated testing to ensure high technical quality.
• Engineers will take responsibility for the components and features they develop and will have the opportunity to grow by working with world-class peers on impactful projects.
• Telecommuting is permitted.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a closely related quantitative discipline is required.
• The candidate must have at least two years of experience in the job offered or in a related field.
• Special skills required include proficiency in SQL-based relational database systems, Java or C++, distributed systems, operating systems, a scripting language, Hybrid Transactional/Analytical Processing (HTAP) databases, storage, caching and data processing, and version control systems.
• Any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience is acceptable.
• Telecommuting is permitted.

Benefits:

• The salary range for this position is $195,000.00 - $234,665.00 per annum.
• The position is eligible for equity.
• Final salary is determined based on factors such as location, travel, relevant prior experience, and specific skills and expertise.
