Braze is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their remote team in Ontario.
The role involves working on sophisticated real-time and batch processing of massive amounts of data.
The engineer will help tackle significant engineering challenges, including leveraging big data sets to generate actionable reports and insights for customers.
Responsibilities include optimizing query performance and cost, and using cutting-edge frontend technologies to enhance user experience.
The position requires building and optimizing an ultrafast application that sends billions of messages based on extensive data points.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3-5 years of full-stack development experience.
A self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills is essential, along with prior experience in a team environment.
A strong understanding of code design, data structures, and algorithms is required.
Experience in an on-call rotation supporting a production environment is necessary.
A passion for customer experience is crucial.
Bonus points for professional experience in building distributed systems at scale and familiarity with technologies such as Ruby, Ruby on Rails, React, TypeScript, Java, MongoDB, and distributed systems.
Experience with agile processes is also preferred.
