Description:

DigitalFish is seeking a Software Engineer II for Graphics Simulation and Synthetic Data in the Bay Area, CA.
The role involves developing advanced 3D simulations in Unreal to generate CV-ML synthetic data for VR and AR devices.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across rendering, optics, systems, and algorithm development.
Responsibilities include designing and building simulations, rendering features, and synthetic data pipeline capabilities.
You will primarily code using C++ and Python and interface with other teams to incorporate innovations.
Conducting design and code reviews, analyzing and improving efficiency, scalability, and stability of system resources is expected.
You will drive performance measurement, analysis, and optimization, and work with technical artists and infrastructure teams to debug performance issues.

Requirements:

A BSc degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields is required.
Candidates must have 6+ years of relevant experience building games or simulations in Unreal or other game engines.
Experience with 3D computer vision or computer graphics is necessary.
Applicants should have experience improving stability through code reviews, testing, monitoring, and proactive changes.
Proficiency in utilizing data and analysis to explain technical problems and provide detailed feedback and solutions is essential.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are required.
Candidates must be self-motivated and able to manage projects independently from start to finish.
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States is mandatory.

The annual compensation includes equity based on qualifications.
The salary range for this position is $145,000 to $185,000 plus equity.
