Description:

Attentive is seeking a self-motivated, highly driven Software Engineer II to join their Machine Learning Platform (MLOps) team.
The role involves enabling Attentive’s Machine Learning (ML) practice to impact their AI product suite through tools for training, inference, and deploying ML models.
Responsibilities include building and maintaining a foundational ML platform for ML engineers and data scientists.
The team is responsible for the ML data, tooling, serving, and inference layers of the ML platform.
Key tasks include expanding and optimizing the ML platform, building capabilities for CPU/GPU clusters, and maintaining a low-latency, high-volume ML serving layer.
The engineer will orchestrate Kubernetes and ML training/inference infrastructure, manage environments and workflows for ML engineers, and develop automation workflows to improve efficiency.
The role also involves analyzing system resources for efficiency and scalability, partnering with other teams, and mentoring new team members.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in MLOps, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure.
A strong understanding of best practices and tooling for ML is required.
Experience in building infrastructure for an ML platform and managing CPU and GPU compute is essential.
A background in software development is necessary, with a passion for ML infrastructure.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform is required.
Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, Argo Workflows, and ArgoCD is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with observability tools such as Splunk, Nagios, Sensu, Datadog, and New Relic.
Direct experience with Docker and Kubernetes is required.

Competitive salary range for this full-time position is $148,000 - $195,000 annually, plus equity and benefits.
