The company offers a suite of tools for fundraising, donor management, financial tracking, and communications.
Aplos is the largest nonprofit and church management software available, serving over 40,000 organizations since 2009.
The Software Engineer II will join the Platform Team for the Aplos product, focusing on both backend and frontend development.
Responsibilities include collaborating on software design, maintaining legacy code, advancing micro-services and APIs, and taking ownership of mid-level projects.
The role emphasizes performance, reliability, and observability to enhance the customer experience.
The ideal candidate should excel in problem-solving, writing high-quality code, creating thorough tests, and conducting peer code reviews.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in software engineering.
Proficiency in React and NodeJS is essential, with some knowledge of Java being beneficial.
Experience with cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is required.
Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is necessary.
Candidates should be comfortable working within Agile methodologies.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must.

The salary range for this position is between $118,000 - $145,000 CAD, based on skills, education, experience, and location.
