Remote Software Engineer II (Remote)

Description:

• As a Software Engineer II at Axon, you will play a crucial role in designing new products aimed at providing law enforcement administrators and crime analysts with access to crime data, decision support, crime reports, and criminal investigation insights.
• You will collaborate with internal teams and agencies to ensure public safety data is accessible and actionable.
• Your responsibilities will include participating in code reviews, driving end-to-end features with Product and Design, and ensuring high-quality and high-performance code.
• You will have the opportunity to influence peers, advise senior leaders, coach junior team members, and facilitate cross-team collaboration among engineers.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, OR graduate of a coding boot camp OR 3+ years of relevant experience in a related field is required.
• You should have experience developing and maintaining high availability, high throughput web-scale data systems.
• Backend experience in managed languages like Java, Scala, Go, C#, or similar is necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to make tough technical decisions based on requirements, constraints, and trade-offs is essential.
• Familiarity with the latest software engineering and open source technologies is expected.
• Industry experience working with SQL or NoSQL data stores is a plus.
• Good Linux/Unix/Mac experience is beneficial.
• A passion for delighting end users and a hunger for novel challenges are important qualities.
