The Software Engineer II position is remote eligible in Bulgaria and will initially be employed through a third-party employer of record, with plans to convert to full-time employment with Smartsheet once the entity in Bulgaria is established in H1 2025.
The role involves contributing to the entire development lifecycle, participating in system architecture discussions, implementing new features, maintaining service APIs, collaborating with systems engineers, and participating in quality assurance and defect resolution.
The position requires working across multiple disciplines such as front-end, back-end, test automation, and infrastructure.

Requirements:

Candidates must have experience with programming languages such as Golang, Java, C, or Node.js.
Familiarity with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.js is required for front-end roles.
An understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Microservice Architecture is necessary.
Experience in building scalable, high-availability applications is essential.
Candidates should be comfortable working in Linux command line environments.
A degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience is required.
Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Bulgaria on an ongoing basis.
Fluency in English is required.
