A company is seeking a Software Engineer II in the United States to join a high-impact data engineering team.
The role focuses on building scalable, high-performance data pipelines and infrastructure in the cloud.
Responsibilities include working with complex and high-volume datasets to support analytics, machine learning, and fraud prevention technologies.
The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver real-time data solutions for intelligent decision-making.
Key accountabilities include designing and implementing resilient data ingestion pipelines, transforming batch pipelines into scalable systems, and developing distributed processing solutions using Apache Spark on AWS EMR.
The role also involves optimizing infrastructure for real-time identity scoring and fraud detection, ensuring data quality controls, and incorporating GenAI tools for automation.
Infrastructure management will be done using Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 2β4+ years of experience in data or software engineering, preferably in large-scale or real-time environments.
Strong programming skills in Scala, Java, or Python are required, along with a solid understanding of system design and data structures.
Experience with Apache Spark or other distributed data frameworks, such as Hadoop, is necessary.
Familiarity with AWS services like EMR, Lambda, Glue, S3, and Step Functions is expected.
Proficiency in SQL and data analysis across large datasets is required.
Candidates should be quick learners with a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical and business teams are essential.
