Remote Software Engineer II, SMS

Description:

• Braze is seeking a Software Engineer to join the SMS team responsible for building and scaling Braze’s SMS channel.
• The team owns the SMS channel within the product, from composition and sending to message responses and analytics, as well as supporting services for Chat messaging.
• Responsibilities include building new features, improving performance, and providing guidance on key architectural decisions.
• Opportunity to tackle significant engineering challenges, architect new iterations of critical components, and optimize systems for resilience as they scale.
• Collaboration with teammates to enhance engineering skills and contribute to the team's success.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of full-stack development experience.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms.
• Self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Previous experience working in a team environment.
• Bonus: Professional experience with Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, React, TypeScript, building distributed systems at scale, and agile processes.
