Remote Software Engineer II, SMS

Description:

• Braze is seeking a Software Engineer to join the SMS team responsible for building and scaling Braze’s SMS channel.
• The team owns the SMS channel within the product, from composition and sending to message responses and analytics, as well as supporting services for Chat messaging.
• As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate with teammates to develop new features, enhance performance, and provide input on key architectural decisions.
• You will have the opportunity to address significant engineering challenges, such as designing new iterations of critical components and optimizing systems for scalability.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of full-stack development experience.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms.
• Self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Previous experience working in a team environment.
• Bonus: Professional experience with Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, React, TypeScript.
• Bonus: Experience in building distributed systems at scale.
• Familiarity with agile processes.
