Remote Software Engineer II - Verification

Description:

• The software engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining performant backends using Java, Spring, MySQL, ActiveMQ, and Kubernetes.
• Collaboration with teammates through pair programming, design reviews, and pull requests is essential.
• Working closely with product managers, security researchers, and customer-facing field teams to implement features and improvements.
• Providing support for the system, including running deployments, monitoring production systems, and handling bug reports.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in building modern, scalable, and high-performing backend web applications.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to ask questions, seek help when needed, and communicate effectively with team members.
• Proficiency in Java/Spring or similar technologies to design and implement robust and scalable APIs.
• Experience working with MySQL or similar databases.
• Interest in learning about operating software in AWS-hosted Docker environments.
• Problem-solving skills with a focus on finding simple solutions to complex challenges.
• Ability to write clean code, create elegant designs, and engage in constant refactoring.
• Ownership mentality towards work, taking responsibility for both bugs and features developed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
