Remote Software Engineer II - Web

Description:

• OpenTable, part of Booking Holdings, Inc., is seeking a Software Engineer II - Web to join their Diner Engagement team.
• The role involves collaborating with product managers, designers, and developers to build and deliver consumer-facing features.
• Responsibilities include working on software architecture, code review, bug resolution, and monitoring devops.
• The position requires contributing to the technology stack, building an in-house component library, and ensuring quality in all aspects of product development.
• The ideal candidate will have a passion for engineering best practices and a love for the restaurant industry.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software design and development.
• Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with React, Redux, TypeScript, Node.js, and GraphQL.
• Strong testing skills using React-Testing-library, Jest, and Cypress.
• Familiarity with Webpack, ESbuild, ESLint, Prettier, and Docker.
• Knowledge of Web Performance and Accessibility.
• Proficient in Git version control.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Understanding of software development workflows, processes, and best practices.
